Original Authentic Vintage NFL Riddell Kra-Lite Game Football Helmets circa 1960-1970

We continue to purchase these Authentic Vintage NFL Riddell Kra-Lite Game Helmets when we can find them. They are becoming increasingly difficult to find. These helmets were produced by Riddell for game use, but never saw the field. They are the exact same helmets that were worn on the field in NFL games. They were manufactured in the late 1960s and early 1970s. These are only available because they were used to make table lamps by Riddell. Each helmet had the inside suspension padding removed in preparation to be assembled into a lamp, but we have installed an authentic reproduction suspension, exactly like the one previously removed in every way. Each helmet retains the original authentic thin mil team decals and striping from its manufacture. Some also still include the classic Riddell BD-9 2-bar facemask, while some have had the BD-9 replaced with another mask to resemble a particular helmet used by a famous NFL player. Because of this, these helmets make an absolutely stunning display, and are absolutely authentic and vintage. Please see pictures of each helmet as many also still have the original authentic leather jaw pads as well. These are great for autographs of your favorite "old school" player too!

Even though there are mutltiple pictures of each helmet below for reference, we only have one available for purchase, so they are first come and first served.

These truly are vintage one-of-a-kind antique collectibles, and can be purchased at a fraction of the price of an authentic game used NFL helmet! PLEASE NOTE: These are 50 year old helmets and some have scuffs and scratches. They are not going to have a sheen like a new helmet manufactured recently. They are authentic to what was worn 50 years ago in every way.

Note the style and position of both the facemask and the decal which are positioned exactly as Namath wore early in his career before switching to a steel mask. This was a Riddell lamp as described below, so helmet is vintage, including the painted horns as Riddell did for the Rams through 1973. The horns are not decals! The white helmet was taped and painted, with the tape then being removed to reveal the white horns of the original finish of the original helmet shell. Helmet also includes appropriate black demo-tape with �5 Gabriel� as All-Time great quarterback Roman Gabriel would have had in his helmet, and also has a single bar �stubby� facemask as Gabriel made popular. Very Rare helmet to find as Riddell only produced these helmet lamps using actual game quality helmets to make these lamps for 3 years. We offer many vintage NFL helmets manufactured by Riddell which were destined to be actual game used NFL helmets but before they could be shipped out to the teams, these helmets were used to make very collectible lamps for retail sale from 1969-1973. These helmets had the suspension removed and were then attached to a wooden base with additional lamp parts attached. We have removed these helmets from the lamp and installed a new suspension and padding exactly as the vintage suspension which would have been installed then. For your consideration is this rare Miami Dolphins Riddell Kra-Lite TK2 helmet from 1973 as shown by the ring date stamp inside the helmet (see photo). Of course, this was the year after the Dolphins completed a perfect 17-0 season, and won their first Super Bowl and World Championship against the Washington Redskins. The Dolphins would follow this amazing season with an encore winning their second championship against the Minnesota Vikings. This was a Riddell lamp as described below, so helmet is vintage and original, and includes vintage striping and decals. This helmet has been customized to be as worn by popular Dolphins running back Jim Kiick by adding appropriate OPO facemask. Helmet also includes appropriate size and font and color #21 applied correctly to rear striping.

For your consideration is this Riddell PAC-44 helmet from the early 1970s with vintage striping and decals of the Miami Dolphins. Decals and striping show attractive and appropriate discoloring and shrinkage for their age. Of course, 1972 was the year the Dolphins completed a perfect 17-0 season, and won their first Super Bowl and World Championship against the Washington Redskins, and this helmet is from that era, and reminds of the helmet worn by All-Time Dolphins great offensive lineman Bob Kuechenberg. This helmet includes authentic and vintage leather jaw pads and has been customized as worn by Kuechenberg by adding appropriate NJOP facemask. Helmet also includes appropriate size and font and color #67 applied correctly to rear striping.

For your consideration is this very rare Chicago Bears Riddell Kra-Lite 8 helmet from 1969. The Kra-Lite 8 helmets were only made for about one year beginning in late 1969. This was a Riddell lamp as described above, so helmet includes vintage decals, as well as the most widely used football helmet face mask on the planet, the Riddell 2-bar BD-9 facemask. This helmet does have some very attractive minor scuffing and slight shrinkage of the decal which verifies its age as seen in the pictures. This helmet and facemask combination is very similar to that worn in the year where All time Bears great and Hall of Famer Gayle Sayers and Brian Piccolo were in the backfield together. Will make a stunning display, and looks like it just came off the field!

To round out the package, helmet has been customized with nose bar facemasks attached to the Riddell 2-bar facemask in appropriate position as worn by Chiefs all time great running back, Mike Garrett.
